Berkshire Bass is a Multi-Species Guide Service and Bait & Tackle Shop located in Sheffield Mass. Spencer Cookson
Founder/Head Guide
Spencer Cookson, founder of Berkshire Bass , grew up in the Berkshires with a rod in his hand. Spencer has a passion for showcasing the Berkshire County fishery and everything else it has to offer!
Spencer has been a full-time guide for 5 years and is gaining experience every day. In his first season fishing the Major League Fishing Phoenix Bass Fishing League he ranked 26 out of 250 anglers in the Northeast division, with two top 10 finishes on Lake Champlain. In his second season fishing the Major League Fishing Phoenix Bass fishing League he finished 5th out of 250 for the Northeast Angler of the Year, with two top 10 finishes on the Potomac River.
Spencer offers a beautiful Skeeter ZXR 20 bass boat powered by a 250hp Yamaha Vmax Engine. His boat is loaded with top-of-the-line tournament-grade Douglas Rods, Shimano, and Lews Reels, and all the tackle you could need.
Spencer is here to make sure you have an enjoyable day on the water. Spencer’s passion is teaching and putting great clients on Big Bass.
